Charity Shop Assistant (L15) or (L20)  - VCL 734

Our charity shops in Wavertree and Bootle require committed volunteers for a number of tasks. Ranging from customer service, using the cash register, restocking shelves, tidying the shop, volunteering behind the scenes, sorting donations, pricing & preparing new stock.  Whatever skills you can bring there is a place for you in our shops.  Days and times are flexible to suit both you and us. Volunteers age 18+ years. No disabled access.


Marketing and Social Media Assistant (L16)  - VCL 734

The ideal volunteer will support social media campaign following new website development. The position will work with all aspects of social media marketing. This will include formulating and editing appropriate social media posts, monitoring social media engagement, updating content on the organisation's website, and providing assistance with photo uploading etc. The overall goal of the position is to assist with meeting the marketing and communications objectives of the organisation. We will provide you with an opportunity to gain valuable and varied work experience in marketing and social media for your professional development. This is a role that can launch your career or is also ideal for someone who is very interested in assisting a business or charity and seeing their results.


Recruitment and Marketing Coordinator (L16) - VCL 734

The volunteer support our recruitment efforts for both short and long term volunteering in Africa. This will include researching and placing ads with targeted media, editing appropriate press release and social media posts, monitoring social media engagement, communications with applicants and coordinating interviews. Assistance in planning the recruitment campaign for the year will be a strong focus. We will provide you with an opportunity to gain valuable and varied work experience in HR, admin and marketing for your professional development. This is a role that can assist your career or assist with a humanitarian charity in a friendly office in Hope University.


Cash Desk Volunteer (L13) - VCL 206iv

Are you a social butterfly? Love getting in to conversations? Always have a welcoming smile on your face? Meet, greet and get to know the people from your community with this versatile volunteering role. Gain valuable experience in customer service adding value to your CV. You'll be at the heart of the BHF's fight against heart disease. You will be serving customers, promoting our stock and awareness campaigns and encouraging every donor to become part of our Gift Aid scheme. If you want to get to know the community around you this is a perfect way to integrate yourself into your local area and maybe spread the volunteering bug to new recruits.


Retail Assistant (L24) - VCL 444 

By volunteering in our shop, you become an ambassador of Claire House and the effect that has on the hospice and surrounemployed, you can work towards a nationally-recognised qualification in Retail, Customer Service and unding areas is priceless. Although the shop may seem a long way removed from Bebington, the children and their families truly reap the benefits that your voluntary work brings. If you are over 19 and Team Leading, to back up the skills and experience that you will gain from volunteering at Claire House.


Stock Room Assistant (L25) - VCL 206viii

If you have an eye for detail and enjoy working in a busy environment then this could be the role for you. Good organisational skills and an understanding of current fashion trends would be beneficial. The role involves helping to sort , tag and steam garments ready for the sales floor and keeping the stock room tidy and organised Volunteering can help you to gain valuable work experience, meet people, make new friends and develop your skills. Full training will be available for this role. Your time helps raise vital funds to beat heart disease.


Stock Generation Volunteer (L13) - VCL 206iv

Do you walk down the street and say hello to everyone you meet? Are you a familiar and friendly face around town? Or are you looking to integrate yourself into the local community? We're always looking for confident, chatty and driven volunteers to generate great quality stock. You will help to build and maintain friendly relationships with existing and new business contacts, arranging local collections for your local shop and talking to local business' about surplus stock. Become a part of our stock campaigns and get the local community involved in our stock events. All the stock which people like you generate helps us provide funding for over half of the UK's independent research into heart and circulatory disease! 


Electrical Function Volunteer (L6) - VCL 206v

We are a busy shop that sells donated furniture and goods to raise funds for our charity. We get many different electrical items donated to us and we have to ensure that they are clean, in full working order and safe to be sold in the shop.
Using your practical skills, your role would include cleaning a range of electrical items, doing basic checks on them to ensure they work and are shop ready before we have them PAT tested prior to being sold e.g. checking doors work properly, electrical plugs /wires are in good order, the items function when plugged into the electricity supply and are clean and presentable.


The Whitechapel Centre Shop (L18) - VCL 942

This is a brand new flagship charity shop with a difference.
We are looking for people who have retail skills, customer service skills or would like to develop them. We want to hear from creative people with inventive ideas for up-cycling and eye catching displays or one off events ideas that we will run maybe working with other groups throughout the city. Our shop is going to be stylish, funky & fun and different.
Volunteers age 18+ years - Wheelchair Access is limited


Cycle Maintenance Volunteer (L13) - VCL 1007

We are looking for volunteers who can give 2-3 days a week (around 10-20 hours) in the hours between Weds-Fri (9.30-5.30). The volunteers will:

- Help chat with the trainees and make them feel welcome
- Help our coordinator with basic administrative tasks
- Help our coordinator collect bikes
- There will be the opportunity to do the free bike mechanic course too and then help with restoration of bike


Shopmobility Volunteer (L1) - VCL 239

Volunteers are needed to help with the training of customers in the use of  scooters/wheelchairs for hire. This role will include driving the scooters/wheelchairs from the garage to the shop in readiness for customers to use, delivering scooters/wheelchairs to various hotels around the city centre, cleaning scooters/wheelchairs after customer use and putting them on charge. This role also includes using the till (taking payments for scooter hires etc.) To help customers to fill in applications forms, taking bookings/enquiries on the telephone.  


Volunteer Cafe Assistant (L3) - VCL 102

A community Café and are seeking volunteers to create a professional and person centred service for all users of The Neuro Café and the conference and room hire facilities within the Brain Charity Centre based at Norton Street in Liverpool. the role will also ensure that the levels of hygiene are maintained at all times which will involve the monitoring and completion of relevant paperwork. Monitor and replenish stocks notifying appropriate staff when reordering is required.
